ALC’s Fran Green recently appeared on The Corporate Data Show podcast to talk about the “Holy Grail of Data Monetization” and discuss data monetization strategies with Rick Holmes from Every Market Media.
In the episode, which is featured on the EMM website and is also available for download in the iTunes store, Fran underscores the value of data and the importance of creating frictionless programs to aid organizations in monetizing their data and maximizing its value.
“Data is the fuel that drives all marketing now,” said Fran Green. “It’s not so much about the product, the idea that if I build a better product the world will beat a path to my door. The marketing world has come around to our way of thinking that it’s all about building a relationship with a customer, which is done through data.”
The podcast also touches on another hot topic, the “low-hanging fruit” of data monetization — identifying anonymous website visitors and leveraging their data intelligently.
“Until recently, there was no way to address anonymous users,” said Green. “We think that’s not the next frontier but the now frontier.”
