North Shore Animal League America Assigns ALC its Animal Loving Donor Files
North Shore Animal League America Looks to ALC to Expand the Use of its Diverse Donors Among Consumer Marketers
Tarrytown, NY—North Shore Animal League America, the world’s largest no-kill pet rescue and adoption organization, has named ALC to manage its robust and growing donor files. NSALA donors help save and care for over 18,000 pets each year through many forms of financial support. Saving pets' lives for 65 years, the organization has placed nearly 1 million pets into carefully screened homes with the financial support of caring individuals from all walks of life!
“ALC has an outstanding track record of managing animal welfare, humanitarian, and health foundation fundraising files,” said Glen Bonderenko, Vice President of Development, NSALA. “They will be bringing new segmentation and file enhancements that will compliment and grow our already responsive list, to the market.”
“The empathetic individuals who have joined the NSALA mission demonstrate humanity not only for animals, but also for those whose lives are touched by these animals,” said Marianne DiLoreto, Client Marketing Manager, ALC. “We are excited to work with this tremendous organization and continue to expand the successes that NSALA already has across many market sectors.”
NSALA acquires new donors throughout the year via traditional direct mail appeals as well as sweepstakes offers, which represent an integral component of raising awareness of the NSALA mission.
“Sweeps have proven to be a very effective method of gaining the attention of caring individuals who read about the NSALA mission and respond by donating in some form,” added Bonderenko.
NSALA’s traditional non-sweeps donors are an average 62 years old with a household income of $69,000. These predominantly female donors contribute to many fundraising and not-for-profit offers including animal welfare, health, social/humanitarian, publishing, catalog and gift/merchandise products.
NSALA’s sweeps donors are an average 67 years old with a household income of $45,000. 63% female, these individuals are mature rustics, active elders, and leisure buffs. With a slightly higher percentage of males than the non-sweeps donors, these donor/responders tend to be retired homemakers who are opportunity seekers.
