How does Zumbox work?
With just a few clicks, mailers can send mail to a single address, to customer or outside mailing lists, or to a geographic area directly from the Zumbox database. Packed with options and powerful tools, Zumbox supports all content formats.
Any mail piece from any computer program that can be printed can also be sent via Zumbox. This includes bills, statements, purchase orders, and other documents or mail pieces. Any postal mail sent via Zumbox appears as an exact facsimile of the printed piece. The Zumbox API also provides an extensive set of tools to integrate your proprietary and internal software directly with Zumbox.
Integrating Zumbox
The ALC/Zumbox Integration team works closely with senders to incorporate the Zumbox paperless option into current communication vehicles. Our 9-step process ensures a seamless and effective test plan that can confidently move into rollout phase. We develop messaging to encourage and incentivize people to claim their Zumbox and go paperless, which means significant savings for senders.
Transferring content
Mail content can be specified using:
- Raw data from AP / AR / CRM / ERP
- Documents: PDF, Word
- Publishing: Illustrator, InDesign, QuarkXPress
- Graphics: Photoshop, GIF, JPG, TIFF, etc.
- Print stream: PostScript and others
- HTML, Flash, video, audio, and other media
Mail recipients can be specified using:
- Customer files
- Outside mailing lists
- Geographic regions

Both mail content and mail recipients can be transferred to Zumbox in a number of ways:

Sending mail
Zumbox can send your mail for you. Through its API or Secure FTP, you can transfer your mail content and list of recipients to Zumbox and let the Zumbox team take care of the rest. Additionally, Zumbox can work closely with your staff to integrate company IT systems and maximize your results.
Self-Serve Mail Sending
Your staff can send mailings with just a few clicks through the Zumbox wizard. We make it easy to specify your mail content and securely send the mail digitally to any street address via Zumbox. Your Integration Manager will walk you through the self-serve process and answer any questions that may arise.
